Due to the high cost of hiring buses there have been no excursions of late. Members were encouraged to suggest suitable low cost excursions.

Council of State Retirees’ Association Report

Ray Dennis responded that items being pursued were (a) the push for a retiree to be appointed as a member of the fund as there are few employees remaining in the fund to represent members on the Board. (b) that as voting in Federal and State elections is compulsory that a postal vote be automatic for all voters aged 70 and over and (c) the continuing concern over the installation of Smart Meters.

The revised rules to be verified at the A.G.M. David also paid tribute to the fine work of Vern Wilkinson in reviewing the Rules and on behalf of members expressed thanks.
