Prior to teaching, Brian worked in industry, commerce and construction. He studied economics, education, art and music.
He retired from Altona Meadows PS, where he was the founding principal. Until recently, he took part in farming and company operations.
Married to Jean, his interests are family, community, art and music.
Brian has been a member of the Federated Engine Drivers and Firemen's Association (FEDFA).  He also ran a pawnbroking business!!!

An outstanding piano player Brian constantly prepares for a number of concerts to raise money for the Red Cross and other organizations.
His other passions are Mercs and fast motor bikes. (Though wisdom prevailed and Mercs are now predominant)

He has been President of the RVPA from late 2001 till  May 2007.  At the May 2006 AGM Brian was again appointed President since his successor, Deputy President Alan Morris, requested leave for 12 months due to pressing personal matters in the coming year.

Brian is currently the Past President on the Managing Committee, enthusiastically supporting current President, Helen Worladge.
